Well, its another month and time for the next report on the State of the Black Diamond Sydicate.  The stats for the BDS are diffrent this time around.  The 33 inactives that were reported last month and were sent emails explaining the Fall Cleaning schedule have been deleted from the database, which in turn, let our numbers drop considerably.  Buts not all about numbers.  We could have 300 members, but it wouldn't be fun at all if 200 of those never came back here or didn't bother to look us up for a game.  Its all about the memebers as individuals and I would like to thank those who have decided to stay and make gaming fun.

Here are the Stats for September 1st, 2010:

Total members: 80

Total new members: 15 (not including GameOverJason, who quit/didn't quit on August 4th)

Inactive Members: 16 These members are not labeled "Inactive" because of it being summer, I wasn't sure if holidays were a factor, so I'm holding out)

Bad Company 2 has 14 members with 3 members of Dogs of War registered with BDS.  I'm particularly proud to see this division growing as much as it is.  It's hard to find good players who aren't already members of a clan to join us.

Modern Warfare 2 has 21 members strong.  With the release of Black Ops next month, I'm afraid the members will drop big time in this division, with the possibility of disclusion from the BDS.  We'll see.  I'm sure we will still have the die-hard MW2 players who have some strange hatred to Black Ops, even though no one has played it, but go by videos alone.  Whats up with that?

M.A.G. has 6 members in this division.  I don't understand why this is.  This game is a blast to play. Especially the Domination maps.  256 people playing AT THE SAME TIME on a very HUGE map!  Mortars going off in your ear, Straffing runs, Air strikes, AAA's, c'mon!  Now there's a BETA for testing a new skill tree, currency system, new maps and game modes!  phew!  get MAG!

Uncharted 2 with 29 members playing.  When we first included this game we were 40 members.  It seems ND pissed a few people off with there patches.  Will ND be able to win back their fanbase?  Perhaps with UC3?  It's hard to tell.  The SP was great and I'll play it again.  MP, IMO, has too many exploits and players running wild and unchecked.  There was a reason why Gamebattles dropped it from their list.

Warhawk has 20 members and I do believe everyone in our clan plays it...even Odyseus_Gamer.  It seems Myhawk.org is down as of this writing.  When it becomes availiable, I'll relay the infor of clan stats.  A BIG THANK YOU to Truck-Mech, who has single handedly made Warhawk the place to be from 8-10 EST.  With his "wierd" selection of game modes and maps, he has made Warhawk challenging and sometimes frustrating.  If we could find a better way to signal each other when on different teams and we have a teamkiller on the loose, or keeping EvilMike out of the game, my blood pressure would be calmer!  Good job, Truck-Mech!

This report being said, I am happy to announce next month's inclusion of Caal of Duty's Black Ops!  I know alot of you guys a skeptical about this game, and probably waiting on a demo.  But what I can tell you is we have 13 members who have preordered this game, myself included. 

I hope to see you on the list as well as we plan to jump in this game full force the first day its availiable.  To ensure I get a copy the first day, I will pick it up in store.  Gamestop ensures delivery the day it hits the street, but when I ordered ST:O, the system failed and I didn't receive it until a week later...and I BETA'd it!

As you can tell, there was a new theme installed in the past week.  The theme came with the background you see on the site, but I try to keep with the themes of the games we play.  I couldn't believe the outcry I got when everyone wanted the "jungle" background.  WTF?  Buncha nature lovin tree huggers!  Anyway,  There is a reason for it and I'm proud to pass along the news that I took the plunge and went with the Ultimate plan that Enjin offers.  So be on the look out for more content and changes as time goes on.  If you haven't noticed there is a diamond up there (a black one!) in the address window.  That's ours!  Another change I want to make is the graphics-heavy header.  I'm in the process of "cleaning up" our new logo and making it professional-grade vector graphics.  It's taking a little more time to complete the clean-up task as my work schedule takes most of my time during the end of the month.
